It has often struck me as odd that, since we entered the digital age of computerization, many of my electronic digital devices and gadgets seem to be packed with features that, for the life of me, I cannot think of any reason for them being there. It seems as though the manufactures are thinking “we have the technology” let’s incorporate this novel feature (even if we cannot think of any legitimate reason for using it).

Is Waterproof Outdoor Television An Example Of This?

When I first came across an advertisement for water proof TV’s; I must admit that I could see no reason or sense behind getting one. I have several TV’s – in my den, in the family area, in the bedrooms and even in the kitchen but; I think that I can go without having one in my bath or swimming pool.

No It Is Not – Think It Through

There are actually quite a number of scenarios where people might wish to watch TV out of doors both at home and in public places. How about having a poolside barbeque and inviting your friends over to watch a big sporting event with you? Even if you do not place the TV in the pool, it could still get splashed and what about the unexpected downpour? Maybe you are enjoying a drink on an outside terrace of a hotel or restaurant and feel like catching up on the TV news? In all such cases, there would be big risks involved if it was not a Waterproof Outdoor Television that you were watching –particularly as it is likely to be quite a large model if many people are watching it.

So far, I have talked about the ability to watch TV programs out of doors but that is not all that a Waterproof Outdoor Television can provide. Videos and recordings shown in waiting rooms and assembly areas are not all that different from TV programs. But, in this digital age, many people find information displayed on a screen to be more digestible that the same thing printed on a large poster.

For this reason people with information to disseminate to as large a number of people as possible often choose to use computerized images programmed to appear on a large display screen. If their digital signage is to be located outdoors then the screen and associated electronic hardware will need to be enclosed making it the same as a Waterproof Outdoor Television which will be viewed for a slightly different purpose by people who will be largely simply passing by.
